Experience gained with LIMS, bioinformatics and now interfacing software, in industries ranging from pharmaceuticals, chemicals, oil/gas, contract analysis, environmental, food, water utilities, clinical, forensic to academic research, helps in my role as Sales & Marketing Manager and Director of CSols Ltd. Where my goal is simply to expand the CSols business across all territories. Our current focus is in the following sectors. ► Environmental & Water UtilitiesParticularly where there are a wide range of analysis and instrument types and of course vendors, tight deadlines on reporting, high sample throughput, intense monitoring of analytical quality control (AQC) samples, proficiency testing and a high degree of regulation from accreditation agencies against local and international standards (ISO 17025). ► Clinical (Biochemistry, Toxicology & Forensic)Hospital, private service laboratories or governmental bodies performing routine analysis with a range of instrumentation/analysers especially using Mass Spectrometry based systems (LC-MS/MS, GC-MS & ICP-MS). Usually where speed of analysis, post run analysis and transcription free transfer of a large number of results of unknowns per sample as well as IQC sample results to LIMS or LIS, are all critical for improved patient care and ISO 15189 compliance. My personal philosophy is to clearly understand individual laboratory needs, whether that's a desire to improve turnaround times, productivity, costs or quality, provide a clear and well thought through proposal, and then deliver that solution and the consequent benefits with as little disruption as possible to the labs' routine operations.

Working for GenoLogics as their European Business Development Manager selling the Proteus and Geneus life science LIMS solutions to the academic, biotech and pharmaceutical industry.

Offering LIMS solutions to complement the Amersham and later GE Healthcare product suite. Including proteomics and genomics workflows.

Responsible for sales and marketing of the Informax Genomax enterprise Bioinformatics solution. The company later was absorbed into Life Technologies.

Working in a team selling the Applied Biosystems 'Bio' applications including BioLIMS and SQL*GT to help sequencing, genomics, proteomics and forensics laboratories improve their research.

I fulfilled a range of roles after I joined the LIMS group in 1986. These included working in the UK in the sales team, working as a specialist, demonstrating to specific sectors and clients, presenting at major events, account management for key customers as well as European sales management.
