Project Manager

Managed over 200 Community Development software implementation projects for cities, villages, townships, and counties in 16 States. Collaborated with and led a team of professionals to deliver successful implementation of software solutions to help our clients manage complex intake, review, and inspection regulatory processes. Prior to taking on the role of PM for Community Development, it had not previously existed. Project activities were cast across various roles within the organization. My first objective was to establish a PM Methodology as well as tools to manage the portfolio of projects which were ongoing. Early on, we worked to establish MS Project and SharePoint for managing scope, schedule, and project data. Through collaboration, we successfully integrated many project activities into the financial management business unit to create a single, cohesive project management office with integrated processes which offered a better overall experience for the client. Early in the life of the department, I performed many of the roles within projects myself including business process review, client consultation, configuration, data mapping, conversion review, training, and even developed a few data conversions using Microsoft SSIS. As we improved our processes and sales increased, I was able to onboard and train new product trainers, configuration specialists, data analysts, and project managers to build a highly-skilled team dedicated to implementing BS&A Com Dev software. Led an initiative under the direct request of the CEO, and in collaboration with a company partner, to research and implement a project and task management software solution company-wide. This resulted in the successful implementation of the solution to users across all departments.

Researched, procured, configured, and maintained a fully integrated scheduling software which allowed unprecedented access to high-demand court time, training resources, and shooting machines for coaches, players, and tournament directors. At Preferred Solutions, I was sub-contracted by our client (IBM) to a nationwide project for their client, Domino's Pizza Inc (Ann Arbor). In this exciting role, we had the opportunity to roll out a new proprietary point-of-sale and online ordering system nationwide. The scope of work for this position began as a software-only migration from each individual franchise location's legacy POS system to the new Domino's Pulse software, with hardware migration performed by separate resources. During the course of the project, I worked with other team members to provide proof that these roles could be consolidated, and we could expand throughput as a result. After successful reorganization, we were able to cross-train personnel and reduce risk due to staffing or travel-related issues by 50% per site, reduce total costs to the franchise site, increase the per-site compensation to each implementation specialists, eliminate knowledge-transfer issues from hardware to software installation services, and through training, empower software specialists to diagnose and resolve post-installation hardware issues which previously created delays in service delivery. I was fortunate to be selected to implement the highly-visible milestone site, the 4,000th store to go-live, in Troy, MI. During this implementation, executive leaders from Domino's Corporate as well as IBM were in attendance to get a closer look at what the implementation and training process looked like and to see the first implementation of the company's new and innovative digital menu boards. The implementation was a success, partly due to the executive leaderships desire to roll up their sleeves and allow me to coach them through some of the activities required to install and configure the systems, but mostly due to the great leadership of Preferred Solutions CEO Marie Seipenko throughout the project.
