Worked with a team of two partners from concept to implementation in opening a basketball training facility in an underserved area of Michigan. Utilizing a new concept to the area of combining technology with low-cost shooting machine and private training memberships, we built a customer-first business from the ground-up focused on growth and development of our clients. We built relationships and partnered with several professional basketball players from the WNBA, NBA, and European professional leagues to offer best-in-class training opportunities for youth athletes. We also partnered with a national athletic clothing company to cross-promote our brands. Served in many capacities within an "all-hands on-deck" business philosophy including startup and annual regulatory filings, accounting, procurement, marketing, technology, and operations. Researched, procured, configured, and maintained a fully integrated scheduling software which allowed unprecedented access to high-demand court time, training resources, and shooting machines for coaches, players, and tournament directors. This was a first-of-kind offering in the Mid-Michigan area. Built and maintained company website and social media accounts. Filmed, edited, and designed digital and print marketing materials including player spotlight interviews, marketing videos, flyers, and social media posts. Implemented Google Analytics to better understand customer behavior and improve SEO, create more effective search engine and social media ads, and provide a better user experience on the website. Procured, configured, and implemented SaaS accounting software for the organization. Worked with partners to identify financial KPI's for the business, then built a chart of accounts to more easily and accurately facilitate the tracking of these metrics. Configured white box interfaces between all organizational systems. Managed AP, AR, and annual fiscal/regulatory reporting.
