The original goal for completion was 6 months and the team completed it in 5. The result was validation of TOPO cloning technology and a new product line generating additional income for the company. • Developed a manufacturing process that tripled the batch amount of TOPO adapted vectors reducing cost and increasing profit margin by 4-fold.• Took the TOPO technology and developed a custom TOPO adaptation service for customers who wanted their proprietary vector converted for easy TOPO-cloning. It was a very popular service and generated $160,000 in sales the first month. • Was a founding member of the “New Product Introduction Committee” charged with bringing in new product ideas from R&D and scaling them for manufacturing. Among the new catalog products my group was responsible for were: AlexaFlor protein labeling reagents and kits for staining and detection and PurLink DNA purification products.
