Starting my career as a software engineer gave me understanding of, and empathy for, the individual contributors who determine the success or failure of a project. Obtaining my MBA in the evenings while writing code during the day, leading dozens of projects, facilitating Agile teams, earning my PMP and CSM certifications, and running my own business for seven years have given me an understanding of what executives of successful organizations need to succeed.I use all of that experience and those skills to help organizations do more good for the world. So far that’s included developing more efficient rail systems, coding autonomous robots to keep people safe, contributing to nuclear power plant control systems and cyber security, making energy storage systems greener, and helping people become healthier throughout all stages of life. If you’re interested in beer instead of, or in addition to, project management, I’m also part-owner of Acrospire Brewing Co. in Glenshaw, PA, just North of Pittsburgh. I do everything from cleaning kegs, mopping floors, and pouring delicious beers to drafting and maintaining our business plan.
