NDI serves as a catalyst which supports projects and strategies that enhance the financial capability of individuals with disabilities. My role is to support multiple initiatives that have a common purpose: • To increase the employment of people with disabilities through improved services and access to American Job Centers• To increase the number of American Job Centers operating active Employment Networks under the Social Security Administration’s Ticket to Work program• To advance practices that improve the understanding of financial literacy concepts, such as healthy credit, short and long-term financial planning, and the practical use of SSA Work Incentives, to achieve greater financial security for people with disabilities• To develop improved pathways at a systems level, that provide employment and financial advancement opportunities for people with disabilities who are ready, willing, and able, through collaborative partnerships that put these new strategies into practice

Part of Technical Assistance team providing guidance to State Disability Employment Initiative (DEI) grantees in nine states. Content expert for team on Social Security Administration's Ticket to Work program. Provide training and individualized technical assistance to DEI States in operating Employment Networks under the Ticket program.

As DRC State Lead, provide operational support to the NYS Disability Employment Initiative project, including support to the NYS DOL Management team (DEI Co-Project Leads), and to 26 Disability Resource Coordinators statewide. Provide Technical Assistance to all DEI Pilot sites in NYS that are operating Employment Networks through SSA's Ticket to Work program, as well as to our DRC Work Incentive Advisors that assist our sites in providing intensive Work Incentive advisement to Ticket holders we serve. Assist, as part of the joint management team, in providing direction in achieving grant deliverables.

Assist NYS Disability Employment Initiative State Lead in implementing DEI service deliverables in NYS. Special attention will be spent in assisting DEI Pilot sites in implementing effective Employment Network services, a core element of the DEI. Assist State Lead as needed in implementing strategies which effectively coordinate services for individuals with disabilties within One-Stop Career Centers in NYS.

Provided information to staff and individuals served regarding the effect of work activity on Social Security benefits, their health insurance (Mediciad & Medicare), and the effective use of Work Incentives to assist in the return to work. Also assisted Challenge in starting and managing Employment Network (EN) through Social Security Administrations Ticket to Work program.

Consultant to BBI under the New York State Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG), "New York Makes Work Pay" (NY MWP). Provide expertise to the MIG regarding Social Security's Ticket to Work Program, as it relates to MIG activities that support increased employment opportunities for NYS residents with disabilities. Provide guidance and training to the NYS provider community in establishing and running Employment Networks (ENs) which operate under the Ticket to Work Program, offering increased supports to people with disabilities seeking to return to gainful employment. Also assist in research and material development that improve services and employment supports for people with disabilities.

One of approximately 450 Disability Program Navigators (DPN) Nationally, serving individuals with disabilities within the Workforce Development System. Located within the local One Stop Career Center, DPN's provide guidance to customers with disabilities seeking to return to work, as well as providing guidance to Workforce Development staff in serving customers with disabilities. Also provide information and resources to employers regarding the employment of individuals with disabilities. DPN's also examine systems serving this population to change and improve services to customers with disabilities.

Provide Technical Assistance to Workforce Investment Areas considering the option of becoming an Employment Network through Social Security's Ticket to Work program. Work as a contractor for the National Disability Institute which includes outreach to One Stop Career Centers through teleconference and webinar platforms, and training events as needed throughout the country.
