Providing both challenge and support on financial and operational matters to the business. Particular focus on use of resource to maximise margin; management of the financial performance of individual Partners and Directors; development and use of an array of MI; planning, budgeting and forecasting and management of working capital.

Bentley Jennison comprised approximately 1000 personnel across 13 sites with revenues of c£80m from the provision of accountancy, consultancy and business advisory services across the public and private sectors.I joined the business when revenue was c£10m and grew with it as this increased to £80m via both organic growth and c15 acquisitions.Building a fully functioning centralised finance team as FD I was responsible for all aspects of finance and financial management across all service lines.In particular: cash and working capital, (including raising finance for acquisitions; bank relations; asset finance ; ID facility); part of the acquisition team through the whole process; systems, MI, KPI's and management accounts and reporting; external reporting; planning, budgeting and forecasting; management of the financial performance of individual Partners and Directors; operating model review to improve efficiencies and therefore margin.
