A technologist at heart, I am passionate about creating synergy between business and the technology that enables the solving of highly complex problems. Starting at BBD in the final year of my Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Wits University, I have developed many technical specialisations and led several strategic system development projects. My latest passion project focusses on Neural Networks and Natural Language Processing. As part of BBD’s Executive Committee for the past decade, I have enjoyed a variety of leadership roles in the business and have a deep understanding and respect for our people, who are the power behind what we do and the value they add. Matching good people with each other and the client project, that is right for the combined team, is what sets us apart as an organisation. As an advocate of diversity and inclusion, I believe in the ability of our people and continually strive to ensure that I enable those around me to be the best they can be through listening, encouraging, and preserving the culture, we as BBD have strived to achieve over nearly four decades.In addition to my role in BBD, I am a non-exec director for other business interests. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, cycling, scuba diving and am an aspirational sailor.
