I've been doing Java since 1999, recent experience (23 years) is mostly with full-stack Java web application development with the Federal government. Also managing the Dev/Ops tasks (Jenkins, Weblogic, GitLab) for various teams.Worked at Nortel in both Wireless and Optical Network divisions, then moved into contract work doing enterprise billing for Bell Canada, until eventually ending up in an IT-03 Technical Advisor role with the Federal Government in 2012.Since 2012, I've been modernizing various web applications within the Federal Government, primarily built in Java on Weblogic application servers, and employing Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, HTML/CSS/JavaScript and the Treasury Board's Web Experience Toolkit (WET), basically designing and developing the applications from top-to-bottom, including Figma mockups, crafting SQL queries, client liaising, and managing builds and deployments with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
