CurrentProtoGen is leading industry, education and communities into a more productive and equitable energy future. Presently, there is limited movement towards DER (Distributed Energy Resource) development, with the current level of adoption representing only a small fraction of the potential for this market. The challenge is creating a path for the industry to grow from a few early adopters to mass adoption. A properly aligned vision for mass adoption must balance the best of both public and private interests: it must create enduring value for communities and an expanded marketplace for investors. This vision will require understanding the value of new and existing infrastructure, and evaluating and improving resource-management outcome goals. It will be leveraged against markets, technologies and workforces, and create a framework for behind-the-meter development opportunities. We develop strategic plans to align the industry, mitigate the issues and meet the challenges preventing critical mass of DER. The plans comprise a sequence of objectives that are iterative, incremental, and most importantly, realistically achievable. Our team’s skillsets and experience are unique and complimentary in a way that allows us to see what others may not. Our integrated approach to solving problems and developing projects begins with a fundamental understanding of how things are built. We consider the constructability of a project, from a single circuit to the implications of utility integration and interconnection. We leverage engineering best practices during the basis of design process, considering the implications of policy changes and evolving markets while performing a full lifecycle analysis of the project. We also provide thorough financial feasibility studies to ensure that the project meets the requirements of all stakeholders.
