Contacts maintenance support as required. Confirms the effectiveness of action taken, based on results.Oversees the utilization of specified manufacturing and technical procedures throughout the production process and identifies elements affecting processes and makes recommendations. Trains manufacturing personnel on correct procedures, modifications, etc.• Develops, monitors and reports trends of inspection performance in relation to quality for each of the business centers, through collection and evaluation of inspection and audit data.• Develop, maintain, and provide continuous improvement of inspection processes.• Ensure that all regulations and Company policies are followed to create a safe and clean work environment.• Ensures inspection workforce thoroughly understands and executes inspection activities, in accordance with SRI and SRUSA methods and criteria.• Trains and evaluates inspection manufacturing personnel on correct procedures and criteria.
Manufacturing X-Ray Technician
• Examines tires from production samples, new releases, and special requests for quality anomalies using X-ray equipment or visual inspection.• Assist the Manager of Factory Quality control, as directed, in achieving compliance to established quality standards.• I work with the Maintenance department, Plant Engineering personnel, and X-ray machine Manufacturing Representative on machine preventive maintenance & general operations. Programs machine units to accept specific tire sizes being examined. Responsible for contacting the above resources regarding any necessary adjustment and/or repairs.• I am responsible for keeping accurate records of all X-ray activities and then issuing daily & weekly results to the Manager of Factory Quality Control and Quality Engineering personnel.• I conduct follow-up evaluations of tires if any sample is found to contain an anomaly. Reports any problem to Factory Technical services, the Manager of Factory Quality Control and Quality Engineering personnel. Holds tire and/or supply a picture of the questionable product.• Responsible for operating a stacker and fork truck to move tires in/out of work area and non-conforming area. Keeps same area clean and orderly.• Weighs tires to assure they conform to specifications. Gathers information for product weight control program. Responsible for issuing weekly & monthly reports.• Coordinates the movement and all activity involved with impounding, analysis, and disposition of the questionable products. Responsible for issuing forms and reports.• Works under the direction of the Manager of Factory Quality Control and Quality. Perform other designated duties including but not limited to audits and inspections.
Quality Control Specialist
Made sure engine blocks didn't contain chips or debris. Input data showing sediment results in Excel. Talked to managers and corporate about my results/ emailed via Outlook. Handled any problems with data that needed attention. If anything was found in engine blocks had to review under microscope and weigh out the debris after drying them out.
