I am a senior at Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick, New Jersey pursuing a bachelor’s degree in both Finance and Economics. My eagerness to develop as a student and my passion for the sector of finance will help me fulfill my attainable ambitions.I have gotten involved in more ways than one so far at Rutgers. While earning a position on the Dean’s List for my first semester, I joined The Little Investment Bankers of Rutgers (L.I.B.O.R.), participated in and completed the GearUp group mentoring program, and have been accepted to be on the Mentorship Committee of the Corporate Finance Society, a club new to Rutgers. Another activity I've gotten involved with on campus is the Rutgers Road to Wall Street Program. In the spring of freshman year, students are invited to apply to be a part of the cohort for that particular year. After a selective and rigorous interview process, I was selected to be a part of the 12th Cohort of the Rutgers Road to Wall Street program. Upon being accepted into the program, we completed a summer series of three courses on WallStreetPrep's website as well as three books we were required to read for the program. The modeling and valuation course that goes hand in hand with the Road to Wall Street Program, which I completed last fall, gave me great insight into how to build financial models, analyze financial statements, and much more. My favorite part of the course was the initiating coverage report my group and I completed on Dollar Tree (attached to my profile). Working with my team to take a deep dive into one stock was very interesting and has opened my eyes to the field of equity research, which I hope to break into through an internship during the summer after my junior year.Expanding my network, while gaining skills that will help me achieve my aspirations has truly been enjoyable so far, and I can’t wait to see where the future takes me.
