As an intern work directly under the guidance of Emergency Management staff to manage assigned tasks in a safe, time-efficient and well-organized manner, and liaise with hospital staff as necessary in efforts to ensure all resources available to them are used. Also responsible for a variety of specialized projects pertaining to hospital preparedness and safety initiatives with varying complexity.

Work in coordination with nurses and doctors to facilitate patient care and expedite patient flow in a level 1 trauma center. In addition to my responsibilities in the emergency department I also volunteer on the BIDMC hazardous materials decontamination team.
