Compete's core asset is the data that it collects through proprietary software, or purchases from data vendors. The Data Acquisition department is responsible for building and maintaining that asset.I ensured a quality and robust core asset by managing the fifteen desktop and mobile data vendor relationships, maintaining the $5.5MM budget, and coordinating all necessary fiscal and contractual efforts resulting in smooth, strong, long term relationships.Settling into my new position, I secured and on-boarded two new third party data licensors, which was the first time in five years any new data sources were integrated into the Compete panel. The inclusion dramatically improved the quality and diversity of the core asset.Part of maintaining and growing the panel is the legal aspect. I performed legal reviews of NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs for new and existing partners, as well as worked directly with our attorney and COO, ensuring that all partnerships are agreed upon, legal, and FTC compliant.I also successfully absorbed the workload of two vacated colleagues who left in close succession, working with the executive leaders to consolidate three roles into one, with reallocation of responsibilities to drive operational efficiencies.

I assisted colleagues with vendor maintenance by managing four third-party desktop data relationships, the $1.5MM budget for those vendors, and fielding all data issues and correspondence. This allowed my colleagues to focus wholly on the high quality data ingestion via the Compete proprietary data collection software.I was also tasked with operating and expanding the CrossPoint BETA program used to support a new and enhanced data methodology by collecting data via website publishers, rather than volunteer panelists.Lastly, I ensured the security of sensitive data (PII), and regularly assisted Client Services and Sales teams during client meetings regarding our database matching service. Within the first few months of my time with Compete, I identified security and quality risks in a vendor-failed database matching project and managed restoration of the project through hands-on and direct vendor communication. We were able to complete the failed project and because of this risk assessment, started utilizing a new and better equipped data warehouse vendor for all projects going forward.

I have spent much of time professional life volunteering in various ways for local theatre companies. The bulk of that time has been spent with Woodland Theatre Company in the Greater Boston Area. After performing in several productions as an actor, I offered my services to the founders to work in a more business oriented position: associate producer.As an associate producer, I assisted executive producer with marketing, public relations, and technical aspects of production including set building, sound management, and light operations.As an actor, I performed in eleven productions in four years, including lead roles, for audiences ranging from 100 to 400 members. The Howard Center is an agency based out of Burlington VT which provides a range of services to those who have been the victims of various crises, include those with developmental or adult onset disabilities.I interned at a Howard Center community care residence that housed and cared for 17 or so adults with severe mental disabilities, specifically schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, and borderline personality disorder.While there, I helped the facility employees in various tasks, including providing meals, crisis management, administrative duties, and logging/reporting day to day incidents. I also spearheaded a weekly therapeutic music group for clients who are interested in playing or listening to music. A large portion of my time there was focused on interviewing clients and writing case studies on their past and current experiences as a part of the Howard Center community.
