-Founded a combat sports equipment and apparel brand with my brother, inspired from our lifelong training journey in fight sports.-Bootstrapped the business for the first year before securing seed capital from a top VC and respected angels in the consumer space.-Built a lean and mean team across Los Angeles and Chicago to develop premium training products and scale both online and offline marketing initiatives.-Managed a global supply chain with operations in India, China, and California as well as an external West Coast fulfillment center.-Launched products across various verticals, including equipment (gloves, wraps, pads), men’s apparel (tees, tanks, hoodies, joggers, shorts), and women’s apparel (tees, tanks, leggings, shorts).-Built many great industry relationships and sponsored top-tier pro fighters (e.g. UFC’s Brian Ortega) and gyms (e.g. Jackson Wink) across boxing, thai boxing, jiu jitsu, and mixed martial arts.

-Led a team of twelve across multiple functions (accounting, FP&A, HR, inventory planning, wholesale, operations, customer service, and legal). A focus on team development and accountability facilitated five manager+ promotions in 2019.-Drove long-term and annual planning process, which informed company resourcing decisions.-Oversaw domestic and international wholesale business ramp, including partner negotiations, pricing strategy, and new business development.-Project managed supply chain, warehousing, finance, and HR integration with parent company, which included moving from one domestic 3PL to a new domestic 3PL and two international 3PLs to support our global ecommerce and wholesale businesses.

-Led internal fundraising efforts from preparation phase (financial model, data room, pitch decks) through execution (pitch meetings, due diligence, contract negotiation, deal close). Our process culminated in being acquired by the Movado Group for $100M plus $100M earnout in October 2018, allowing for a great exit for our founders/employees as well as finding a terrific partner to help us through the next stage of growth.-Hired as first finance employee to build out back office operations of a high-growth international accessories brand.-Developed driver-based, multi-channel financial model, leveraging unit economics to drive go-forward financial strategy.-Internalized accounting function, launched Netsuite inventory/GL solution, navigated company through a seamless first financial statement audit, and guided a reduction in monthly close time by 70%.

-Partnered with CFO and external counsel to complete due diligence process, merger agreement execution, and transaction closing for Nordstrom Inc.’s $350M purchase of Trunk Club in August 2014.-Managed the integration of Trunk Club as a separate business unit into Nordstrom’s accounting, FP&A, treasury, and tax processes, which involved execution on a 50% reduction in monthly accounting close.-Defined financial processes and controls surrounding a new proprietary inventory system and online merchandising catalog. New system allowed for expansion of in-person retail footprint from one to nine locations while maintaining centralized warehouse operations.
