Although I initially came to the TN Municipal League in 2009, my role expanded in 2013 to include additional leadership within this sister entity. While here, I originated over $500M privately placed loans for more than 30 clients by building a strong network of relationships, understanding the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders, and delivering compelling presentations to boards.Highlights:►STRATEGIC GROWTH: Created tools, presentations, and programs that rallied stakeholders around win/win solutions and contributed to ~$750M in loans. ►TEAM DEVELOPMENT: Built and launched the training program that propelled two new hires to close $100M in new loans. ►TOOLS & STRATEGY: Designed a new marketing approach that has generated $350M in loans since 2017. Developed a reporting system that compared products with alternative borrowing methods. Negotiated to ensure most competitive rates.

As Board Member, I serve as a member of the Audit and Procurement Subcommittees while guiding strategy attached to the management of $990M per year in contracts for a $1.7B, 288K-member health insurance enterprise.Highlights:► PROCESS STRATEGY/INNOVATION: Developed consensus to shift traditional approach surrounding $1B procurement process. Reviewed operations with subcommittee and researched best practices. Proposed framework allowing for more flexibility with greater emphasis on value creation. All recommendations currently scheduled for adoption.► COST CONTAINMENT: Stabilized health insurance premiums and ensured increases remained below 6% trend. Communicated priorities to leadership/staff, reviewed audit reports, and surveyed local governments to establish needs.

My work continues here in tandem with my efforts at the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund. As Research Analyst, I represent stakeholders as an appointed member to statewide boards and commissions. I lobby the TN General Assembly on behalf of municipal governments and collaborate with the Municipal Bond Fund to help local governments to gain access to funding for capital projects.Highlights:► OUTREACH STRATEGY: Secured $100M non-recurring and $600K recurring state appropriations that boosted revenue to cities and towns. Researched 60 years of revenue trends, built outreach strategy, and presented to Executive and Legislative leaders.► CONSENSUS BUILDING: Negotiated agreement between stakeholders with competing interests for $1.2B education funding increase. Represented municipal interest in improving equity/outcomes in public education. Increase correlated with improved K-12 test scores and graduation rates
