Responsible for design, layout and copy editing of stories, art and graphics for the daily newspaper as well as special sections including the monthly Healthy Living Tab, Christmas special tab and Mule Day 2015 section. I continued to supervise the content for the Healthy Living Tab and guided reporters in the production and gathering of news for the daily paper.

Columbia, Tennessee

I covered county government and education initially but shifted to focus on coverage of the cities of Columbia and Spring Hill. I also wrote for special sections published by the newspaper and began overseeing the creation of the monthly Healthy Living tab. In addition to writing stories, I also shot video and photos for the daily newspaper.

Bluefield, West Virginia

I work as an entry level reporter for the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, which is centered in Bluefield WV. It covers the two Bluefields in West Virginia and Virginia as well as seven surrounding counties on the borders of the two states.

Work as a film blogger for the international Examiner Web site, focusing primarily on the movie industry as it pertains to Nashville. Update thrice-weekly fully researched and informative blogs, including current events, film reviews, previews, and critiques.

Was a student worker for Middle Tennessee State University's College of Mass Comm at the front desk in the Dean's office.

I worked as an intern at Dish Magazine, an online women's magazine based out of Nashville over the summer. I had learned a lot and gained tons of experience writing various articles for the magazine as well as doing editing, research, finding graphics and pictures, as well as learning the ins and outs of the magazine industry.Wrote articles on subjects ranging from fashion to health to pet care. Created story ideas and found photographs and other artwork to accompany articles published on the site. Also edited other stories and transcribed interviews.
