Lead developer for initiatives for the Gateway Student Success Center's mission.• Design and develop web applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, jQuery Mobile and responsive design to support the student's Enrollment needs on as many devices possible while being advised by the Gateway Center.• Design, develop and manage all database needs in SQL Server as well as custom queries against the central NAU database store for student information in PeopleSoft (Oracle).• Developed an onboarding system for all new students, about 6,000 a year, to the university that advisors use to aid in enrollment activities and other first semester activities on behalf of and with the student to make for a smoother transition to college. System is still in use today.• Developed an engine that identified students that were potentially in danger of not meeting the prerequisite math course requirements in an expected time frame for majors that were deemed as math intensive. Engine is still in use today.• Converted the source control system from Visual SourceSafe to Mercurial.• Proposed successfully and implemented a model for a warm failover environment.• Proposed and guided implementation with our Security team a tighter integration with our SSO and .Net Full Framework Authorization constructs.• Proposed and co-led a monthly development learn and share meeting open to all technical staff.• Identified new ways to automate business needs.• Work with management to develop a project portfolio.
