Kevin McAlpine serves as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at The Children’s Center. He is responsible for leading comprehensive fundraising activities and strategic philanthropic initiatives that bring hope, help, and safe loving homes to every child served by TCC.With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit field, Kevin McAlpine has led campaigns and initiatives that have raised over $100 million to support higher education and other community causes. Kevin led a high-performing team at the University of Michigan to support the most ambitious and successful fundraising campaign in the university’s history while managing relationships with some of U-M's top donors resulting in over $60M raised for student scholarships, programming, and faculty research. Prior, he held various fundraising and leadership positions at Wayne State University, a prominent civil rights organization, and a government ambulance authority. During his career in EMS, he attended to more than 16,000 ambulance calls and taught over 300 EMS programs and courses. Kevin is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a state-licensed paramedic and EMS instructor, and a foster and adoptive parent. In his spare time, he is the board chair of the Macomb Foster Closet, an all-volunteer organization helping children in foster care.A native of Michigan, he holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Oakland University as well as a master’s degree in communications and a graduate certificate in economic development from Wayne State University.
