My long time interest in all things tech has made me want to turn this love into a career. I am currently in training to become an IT Professional at Per Scholas Baltimore. I have received AWS’s Cloud Practitioner Certification and will be obtaining my CompTIA A+ in September this year. I am looking to gain experience as an IT technician. During the pandemic I had a lot of time to think about my future because I was laid off. I didn't like the fact that my so-called career could just fall apart like it did. I decided to change all this and work towards something I have always been fascinated by, and figure out a way to get into the IT world. I took it upon myself to teach myself the beginnings of Python because of my love for electronics and the IoT/Makers community. Having tinkered with Raspberry Pi’s in the past I really wanted to step my knowledge up and create things on my own, at the very least learn something new. I have been helping out the people of the Village Quilters Quilting Guild continue their members' meetings by setting up their in person/virtual Zoom meetings. I have extensive experience with customer service, inventory management, financial records keeping, problem solving, and juggling numerous tasks at one time. I'm knowledgeable of Users, Groups, and Permissions in both Active Directory and AWS. I have excellent troubleshooting skills with printers, hardware and operating system optimization.
