I’ve been leading & creating compelling visual communication for over 25 years for brands, public figures, and organizations. I’m not usually the kind of person to name-drop at parties, but I’ll do it here because it helps to illustrate who has placed their trust in me in the past, so that you might be convinced to do so in the future. I’ve been working hard since the late 90s to help a variety of brands communicate both internally and externally in ways that make a lasting impact. Design has been my focus much of that time, but I’ve never viewed this as an art form. Rather, it’s a tool for communication. The objectives are different for every brand, and my work has been used to achieve clarity, to entertain, to compel laughter or heartfelt sympathy, to encourage financial contribution or personal participation, to incite spiritual engagement, or to sell event tickets. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as the saying goes. To me, the most compelling evidence of success is when clients keep coming back. When quality work, mutual trust, and enduring collaboration combine, that’s the recipe for successful working relationships, and that’s been the cornerstone of my career. Also, it’s worth noting that the fruits of these labors have resulted in contributing to quantifiable success stories, including numerous gold and platinum selling albums, year-over-year event ticket sales growth and increases in charitable giving, to name a few. And my work has been recognized locally, regionally, and nationally by Print Magazine, The American Advertising Federation, and AIGA: The Professional Association for Design. In between client projects I’ve also been active in the professional community, serving as a mentor for the Entrepreneur Center and on the board for the local chapter of AIGA, where I co-created two of their keystone event series, as well as regularly working with local schools to help guide graphic design students toward career readiness.
