Clinical Laboratory Assistant
CurrentPerform various functions in the clinical laboratory related to data entry, specimen handling, centrifuging, pouring off, and preparing specimens for testing; preparing peripheral smears by automated methods; loading bar-coded specimens on analyzers, automated process of sorting, decapping, aliquoting and archiving specimens;Responsible for accurately capturing computer images utilizing PathGroup proprietary software; 100% accuracy in entering patient demographic information; Handle speciality specimens including assembling specimens folders, printing labels, sorting samples by department, completing paperwork for add-on testing;Utilization of critical thinking and problem solving skills to address and resolve challenges;Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of protected health information and other proprietary data.
