I am in-house legal counsel for the Svenska Spel Group, legally responsible for the land based casinos (Casino Cosmopol) as well as the sports and horse racing games (Stryktipset, Europatipset, Måltipset, Oddset, Fullträff, High Five etc.). I inter alia negotiated the co-operation agreement when Svenska Spel procured a new sportsbook from Kambi in 2023. Before this, I was legally responsible for the online casino (legal's lead when Svenska Spel Sport & Casino set up the online casino business with L&W in 2019), VLT-business (legal's lead when Svenska Spel procurered a new VLT-system from IGT in 2019), number games, CRS-related matters, the parent trademark, as well as being part of creating the legal strategy for the group’s trademarks and internet domains for which Svenska Spel won "Signumpriset" in 2023 (see signumpriset.se). Presently, my responsibilities encompass:➱ Participating in strategically important projects (previous projects inter alia includes implementation of mandatory registration and initiatives to prevent problem gambling)➱ Participating in various group critical procurements (previous procurements include new gaming platform for Svenska Spel Sport & Casino AB including online casino, procurement of new sportsbook and the currently used VLT-system)➱ Liaising with external legal counsels➱ Drafting, reviewing and negotiating various types of agreements➱ Matters in relation to the re-regulated Swedish gambling market➱ Regulatory matters and corporate governance ➱ Board secretary duties in Casino Cosmopol (occasionally also in the parent company Svenska Spel)➱ Day to day legal counseling to various functions of the group➱ Drafting of customer terms & conditions and game rules➱ Informing and educating employees in matters of legal importance➱ Focusing and keeping up to date on marketing regulations
