I played a pivotal role in developing and enhancing dolby.io WebRTC video conferencing solution.For over a year, I was focused on maintaining and developing backend web services, with a strong emphasis on performance. I worked mainly with Java and (reactive) Spring WebFlux. Additionally, I engaged in frontend work using React on occasion.Subsequently, I transitioned to maintaining and improving the web browser SDK. In this role, I worked mainly with TypeScript and Jest. A vital aspect of this position revolved around network communication, facilitated through the use of REST APIs in combination with WebSockets and WebRTC.

I worked with several projects related to video content management and consumption, including digital TV, timeshift and VOD (video on demand).Initially, I was gaining domain knowledge and experience by maintaining and enhancing an existing project, which was consisting of management services (frontend and backend) and applications for end users (web browser and set-top-boxes). The tech stack involved: java ee, firebird DB and javascript.As we transitioned to a new version of this project, I contributed to designing APIs and database schema. We utilized spring and cassandra DB.Subsequently, I took on the role of a scout to assess video-related features support in a young, at-the-time, hybrid mobile framework: React Native.I prepared a prototype for mobile devices and then another one for web browsers, also in react.js. Based on this experience, I designed and created a modular, react-based project targeting various platforms, including web browsers, mobiles, browser-based set-top-boxes, and even Android TV. I also created related web services (in node.js) for purposes such as graphics scaling, websocket communication, and API testing. Additionally, I set up an NGINX gateway that connected all the pieces together. Moreover, I learned how to transition from bare-metal to Docker.During that time, I played a role of a tech lead in the front end part of the project.In addition to these major projects, there were also several other smaller-scale initiatives that, while not explicitly mentioned, were integral to my overall experience. These endeavors encompassed various aspects of video content management and consumption, further diversifying my skill set and expertise.
