Managed day-to-day functions, including staff management, board governance, financial oversight, strategic planning, major fundraising, PR, marketing, donor relations, relationship building, affiliate oversight, etc. Achievements Include: Quantitative achievements: Raised over $70 million in 3 years as CEO. Grew the organization's investments from $30M to over $73M Elevated annual grant spending from $1.5M to over $11M. Increased the number of major donors from 35 to over 100. Expanded the annual operating budget from $120K to $500K. Grew staff from 2 to 7. Nonprofit endowment funds grew from 3 to 23. Increased grant recipients from 62 to 185. Increased board participation - individual giving from 10% to 100%. Built essential relationships (United Way, CPAs, investment brokers, estate attorneys, etc.) - a major contributor to our growth. Improved community awareness with an "Endow Lakeland" campaign & Annual Legacy Event (600+ attendees). Raised over $350k to buy a permanent building with visibility. Secured the free design/distribution of our annual report to over 100k homes from the local newspaper. Developed an innovative idea to local publisher for a special issue, "Lakeland's Charity Register, Presented by the CFGL". We developed the content & shared in advertising profits. (Currently being replicated by other cities). Worked with the investment committee to re-structure $73M of investments, increasing returns 5.5%. Developed "Impact Lakeland", a magazine-style directory of 200+ programs needing funding. This tool increased funded programs from 10 to over 160. Upgraded the organization's website to provide donors online, real-time access to manage their funds, make donations, etc. Earned "Confirmed in Compliance with National Standards from the U.S. Council on Foundations". Earned unofficial title of the "fastest growing community foundation in the southeast".
