The plant line operator operate, monitor, inspect and maintain the operating efficiency of the machines, monitor the SCADA screens on the machines, monitor the conveyor belts and elevators, and perform maintenance on the machines and belt when needed. We also drive the (forklift) to transport the product when finished.

The Control Room Operator is responsible for conducting the following tasks:➢ Familiar of all the field equipment operations.➢ Remotely through the Terminal automation system operates product pumps of various sizes, valves, aircompressors, firefighting and other safety equipment, fire water and foam systems, …etc.➢ Direct all operators in the field with necessary actions.➢ Checks and monitors on-going processes and running equipment to ensure that operating variables(temperatures, pressures, product level, flow rates, etc.) are within the allowable limits.➢ Communicate with all personnel in case of emergencies and operational activities.➢ Deputize Operations Engineers during their absence.➢ Generate all control room logs and reports.➢ Always follow safe operating practices and procedures. Uphold a behavior/ attitude whereby safety isalways taken into consideration.➢ Comply with all safety, environmental, health and fire prevention rules and procedures defined and set outby the company.➢ Stop any activity within the terminal in violation of the company’s HSSE procedures and standards.➢ Being an active member of the Terminal Fire Fighting/ Emergency Response Team, the Operator must befamiliar with effective utilization of all fire-fighting and related equipment.➢ Respond to fire, oil spill and any emergency as per the Terminal Emergency Response Plan and as directedby the Incident Commander.
