Doha, Qatar
The year is 2010 and Qatar had just won the bid to organize the 2022 FIFA World Cup. At this point in time, Eclick was just a Multimedia company, doing small jobs such as websites, video production, and some construction-related media services. Qatar was already considered as an under-construction country, Musheireb downtown project entered its 2nd year, Lusail city was picking up, Ashghal stated to focus on expressway programs, and the new Doha Airport was on its way.Clearly, construction was to remain the main focus of the government for the next 20 years to come, which made shifting Eclick’s focus to construction a logical move. That was when “construction media solutions” concept was created. We planned ahead of our competitors by going after potential clients during their concept stage, presenting our company as a media company specialized in construction. We showed them how our products and services would put them in control of progress on sites, and how our exclusive technology would ease their jobs and provide them with enough media to cover their progress meetings, help the engineers on-site and cover all their press releases. We were able to create the need in the market at that early stage; we were also lucky to be invited, in most cases, to draft the scope for this innovative solution. Qatar Rail project was one of our big success stories. We signed one contract after another and as a result became the sole provider of Time-lapse, video streaming and media progress reports for the whole project. We installed our camera systems in each and every construction site around Qatar, over 90 systems in total, all connected to our cloud-based solution and accessible to all users across various devices, 24h/day 365days/ year.In due course, Eclick has also become the sole provider of construction media solutions for all the 2022 FIFA World Cup stadiums.I’ve learned to forecast our competitors’ next moves, planned ahead and executed.
