Khaled is an accomplished full professor of Computer Science & AI with over thirty years of experience in academia. He has a strong background in teaching, mentoring, academic training, community development, and academic administration. As the Head of the Computer Science Department, he successfully built the department from scratch and oversaw the development of the academic programs' curricula. As a recognized researcher who is actively engaged in research in Arabic Natural Language Processing and leading a natural language processing research group, I will work on increasing the influence of the journal by attracting more Arabic NLP contributions. AE manages the review process for submitted manuscripts. To carry out these responsibilities, AEs typically perform the following duties: 1) Identify appropriate referees, secure their agreement to perform reviews, and ensure that the reviews are submitted in a timely manner, and are appropriate for use, 2) Ensure that all potential conflicts-of-interest are identified and properly managed 3) Prepare reports summarizing the main findings of the review process for authors and the Editor in Chief (EiC), 4) Recommend the appropriate disposition of the manuscript to the EiC, and 5) Ensure that the editorial management system contains a complete and accurate record of the status of each manuscript under their control.
