Khaled Sharbatly is the CEO of Desert Technologies. An ambitious international entrepreneur, investor, and influencer of sustainability. At an early age he has already started several successful start-ups and joined Desert Technologies, which focuses on renewable energy and smart infrastructure. Through his efforts, he has been able to secure multiple investments, partnerships, and projects from 25+ countries. He also serves as an advisor for Al Nahla Group in investments and origination, holding certain board roles in the family offices’s portfolio companies. His knowledge in this field has also made him an angel investor in start-up impact investments since 2019. Furthermore, he is a passionate advocate for sustainability and renewable energy - being featured as both a speaker and member at numerous international conferences such as the G20, Cop 27 and 28, and Intersolar. He has used technology to solidify his following on social media through his videos and posts on sustainable leadership. Khaled is a voracious learner and dedicated professional. After obtaining his B.B.A from the University of Miami in 2016, Khaled has only continued to expand his knowledge and honed his expertise through a fellowship at the IMF and courses at several prestigious institutions such as United Nations, Harvard Business School, Harvard Law, and London Business School. He continues to strive for excellence in all his endeavors and is dedicated to creating positive change in the world around him. --------خالدٌ رجل أعمال مرموق على الصعيد الدولي ومستثمر ومؤثر على الاستدامة. بدأ خالد مسيرته المهنية في سن مبكرة عبر إنشاء العديد من الشركات الناشئة واكتسب القدرة على الوصول إلى عالم الأعمال مستعينًا بتعليمه من عائلته في مجموعة النهلة. انضم خالد في مطلع عام 2018 إلى شركة تكنولوجيات الصحراء في منصب شريك تنفيذي وقاد عملية تطوير الأعمال والأسواق المالية، كما ساعد في زيادة أرباح الشركة عبر تأمين العديد من الاستثمارات والشراكات والمشاريع على مستوى 24 دولة. خالد مؤثرٌ نشطٌ في مجال الاستدامة والطاقة المتجددة، وألقى خطابات و كلمات في أكثر من 15 مؤتمرًا دوليًا، من ضمنهم مؤتمر قمة الأعمال العشرين الذي عقدته مجموعة العشرين، ومؤتمر القمة العالمية لطاقة المستقبل، ومؤتمر إنترسولار في صناعة الطاقة الشمية، وغيرها من المؤتمرات خلال العامين المنصرمين. بعد تخرجه من جامعة ميامي بدرجة بكالوريوس في إدارة الأعمال وماجستير في العلوم عام 2016، اكتسب خالد خبرة كبيرة من خلال مشاركته في زمالة لدى صندوق النقد الدولي وفي برامج تدريبية لدى الأمم المتحدة وكلية هارفارد للأعمال وكلية هارفارد للحقوق، ويُؤمن أن التعلّم رحلة تستمر مدى الحياة.
