As a cybersecurity researcher with a passion for AI-driven Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and ICS security, I focus on leveraging cutting-edge technologies to protect critical infrastructures from advanced threats. My journey in cybersecurity began with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, specializing in cybersecurity, where I developed an AI-powered face detection system for secure access control.This early work sparked my interest in the intersection of AI and security, which I am now expanding through my Master’s thesis, where I am developing a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)-based IDS to detect and prevent ransomware attacks in Industrial Control Systems (ICS).During my internship at Remo, I was tasked with investigating network traffic to differentiate between DDoS attacks and legitimate activity, using machine learning tools and real-world datasets. This hands-on experience reinforced my ability to analyze complex security issues and develop actionable solutions.I have also participated in prestigious programs, such as the Trend Micro Incident Response Track and the Saudi Digital Academy DevOps and Cybersecurity Bootcamp, which provided rigorous practical labs and training, further refining my skills in incident response and cyber defense strategies.My goal is to continue contributing to the field of cybersecurity, particularly in AI-driven solutions for ICS security and ransomware defense, and to become a recognized expert in the field.
