A seasoned leader with over 12 years of experience as a dedicated public governor for a prominent mental health foundation trust. During this time, he has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving mental health services and advocating for the rights of patients and their families. In addition to my role as a public governor, I have served on a national policy board, where I played a key role in shaping policies and initiatives aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of mental health services across the country. I have the understanding of the challenges facing the care sector and have worked tirelessly to ensure that vulnerable populations, including young people in supported living and independent living arrangements, receive the support and care they need to thrive.With a strong focus on policy development and scrutiny, i've been instrumental in driving forward initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided in care homes and other residential settings. With a wealth of knowledge and experience in my work, im always keeping the best interests of patients and service users in mind.Since 2017, my focus has shifted towards attracting private sector investment to the health and social care service sector. Through my relentless dedication to public service, I have played a pivotal role in facilitating partnerships between the private sector and healthcare providers, ensuring the continued advancement and improvement of health and social care services.I received the 2020 Mental Health Star Award at the Thrive Mental Health Awards hosted by the West Midlands Combined Authority for my efforts in guiding young people away from knife crimes and towards sports, music, and the arts, thus transforming their lives and preventing incarceration.My unwavering commitment to mental health advocacy, extensive experience in fundraising, and exceptional leadership skills has made me a respected figure in the sector.
