Nurtured the Training function at DIBPL (Dubai Islamic Bank - Pakistan), which was virtually non functional for some time. Hired MTs (6 batches of 25 candidates each), 6 T.O Batches (25 Trainee Officers each), SSTO (2 batches of Support staff Trainee Officers with each batch having 25 candidates) during my tenure. Established a proper Learning and Development unit throughout Pakistan for DIB. Had a great time doing, what I like to do best........Facilitating future bankers !

Hired 6 T.O Batches with 25 candidates each from various universities all across Pakistan. Helped create the awareness of "Islamic Banking" among the new and upcoming bankers. Also, organized "refresher courses" for the existing staff through a monthly calendar, all across Pakistan within MBL..............

Faysal Bank was very dynamic at the time, and a good employer. I managed their Gulshan Branch as Branch Manager for a year and a half, then I managed their North Nazimabad branch for a while, before I was put in charge of their Training department. That is where I got into the Learning & Development field and made it my career. I set up the brand new Training facility at Faysal House, Karachi. Recruited 6 Management Trainee batches and 6 Trainee Officer batches throughout Pakistan.

Joined them upon my relocation to Pakistan from California, U.S. Spent the next 10 years with the group that has the honor of starting the banking industry in Pakistan. Learned the Pakistani way of banking. The Habib Group is known to be the pioneers of banking in Pakistan and after spending so much time there, I can see why. Worked in various department, with most of the latter part of my time with them in credits (advances), helping credit customers understand the "Prudential Regulations", introduce at that time (1992). Also had the privilege of being posted overseas in Sri Lanka for 4 months at Colombo with their AG Zurich branches (3 branches in Colombo at the time - 1994)...
