Data Analyst/Quality Assurance Analyst/Software Analyst/Technical Writer

Current

Orlando, Florida, United States

This job was actually for my friend who is doing a business with his father. Since I grew up learning about analytics from my mother, I offered my help with their startup and have got it to the point that it should be launching fully next year. I have experience in using APIs and SQLs, and actively documented mishaps in the different builds of the website. I was using Python, SAS, R, Excel, and Tableau during my time at my friends house, constantly hammering out details and potential fixes for the website. Making sure that everything is in working order and the site wouldn’t crash. We also did a test run for the software recently, and seemed to be in working order after the multitudes of bad service/crashes/glitches etc. My eye to catch these interactions and automations actually sped up the process as the software was supposed to be done in 2026, so I chopped the time down by about 3 years.

Freelance Writer

Current

Florida, United States

I have been doing this after I quit AT&T. Just went onto a freelance website, made an account and have been helping students with their papers. Even my friends who have people still in college usually ask me to help them. Just a little side hustle but it kept my writing sharp and my research skills on point. Plus the money is helpful to supplement my savings. I have help crank out multiple papers a week and have gotten great results, no papers going under a B. As I was just was a writing coach for those over a zoom call, I usually just proofread then add additional marks over the paper to show them a better option/technique to use. I created an entirely different email just for this and will most likely continue to do this on the side.

May 2022 - Present

Customer Service Rep/Technical Support/Analyst/Retention/Assistant Manager

United States

This was my previous Job. I worked for AT&T as a customer service representative which included tasks such as responding to emails, keeping constant communication with customers and numerous managers about our roles and assisting with customer’s bills and account setups. I was consistently one of the top performers in Orlando, hitting the number 1 spot every month in sales and customer retention. Never had a bad survey and was also an assistant manager for my team whenever my manager was out (which was most of the time). I had many different roles in my job as a lot of our jobs overlapped. I would have set up Internet connections and tv connections, adding and removing phone/watch/tablet lines, setting up autopay and billing cycles, crediting accounts if there would any mishaps in the billing, breaking down bills to customers and also create a entire payment plan and/or quote for their account after everything is all set and done. I would create spreadsheets and payment breakdowns for customers using Microsoft Excel and stay in contact with numerous customers to make sure everything goes well with the setup we made. During this Job I also performed analytics and troubleshooting on the new program for my building as I was also recommended for that position. We created logs of issues the employees would have and send those off to the tech team, created tickets that the system would take then correct itself, also fix glitches and switch out keyboards/monitors.I also worked with retention as well with customers and dealt with fraudulent cases. I had to set up tickets and do my own investigations at points to figure out if the customer is lying or if there was a mishap in the system.

Jan 2020 - Sep 2020

Intern To Editor

Tampa, Florida, United States

I also interned at the Florida Sentinel in High school during the transitional summer of my Senior year to Graduation. This was a big leap for me as I was admittedly very nervous, as this was my first sort of jump into my desired field. From meeting the team and them teaching me hands on how it goes, I grew in knowledge quickly of the power of writing for a larger audience with ads and marketing products. They didn’t give me a direct story to write in the paper, but I was there for proofreading and editing the work to make sure that it was on point. Since I was in college at the time I after the first 2 summers I started to actually work there seasonally until I graduated.

Jun 2015 - May 2020

Thishas made our community very family oriented and a way better place than before.

Apr 2014 - Apr 2020

Book Seller/Online

Orlando, Florida, United States

The scheduling at this job was very sporadic and while I worked there, I was trained inusing computers and dealing with customers in person, so that Isn’t a problem for me and I was quite liked by the customers from my easygoing and witty personality while at the same time being effective in my roll. I was a Temp worker there for two semesters, then I became a seasonal due to being very efficient in the workplace. I also dealt with computer troubleshooting with the cash registers and desktops needing to be fixed. I gained experience in Analytics with me also having to look through the database to find certain books, find out which genres were popular so we can put more of those in the front, ordered books to the warehouse through the database etc.

Aug 2017 - Jan 2020

Writing Consultant

Orlando, Florida, United States

While I was an RA, I also helped in the writing center at UCF. The free time I had was abundant as Barnes & Noble had me going months without being scheduled, and i saw that as an opportunity to get more money. At this job, students would come into my office after setting up appointments and I would help them format and think out their papers, give them techniques to try out. Especially as I was a well known writer in the school, people always came to me for all their papers, and I always had great results. This job gave me proofreading experience and copywriting experience, while also expanding my conversational skills. I also had my final paper in my writing track published in the UCF library due to the power and skill that was shown in it, based off the skills I honed in this writing center.

Jan 2017 - Jan 2020

Resident Assistant

Orlando, Florida, United States

This job I had at the same time as my Barnes and Noble job as it was very sporadic as I went long stints without being scheduled. I was directly dealing with residents while having to handle emails and angry parents. I also handled roommate agreements, and calls on the Towers (the dorms I worked/lived in) office phone. Maintenance requests, going to let in residents who locked themselves out, helping residents move in/out, and explaining housing policies were all apart of the regular routine. This job gave me customer service experience (helping move people in, giving keys and getting people back into their room when they’re locked out, helping residents with roommate issues) and also more data analytics as we used this to find open spots in all 4 towers apartments, using our housing system we constantly had to monitor which rooms were getting complaints the most about varying things like water or heat and such, thus having a trail to follow when we order maintenance. Also gave me experience in advertising as we made it a competition to see which tower could get more applicants, thus we put out videos, skits that I wrote, made flyers to have people come sign up on move in days.

Jan 2017 - Feb 2019

Journalist/Editor

Orlando, Florida, United States

I also worked for the UCF newspaper team during my time there. I was usually an editor, and also would go around to find things that would be going on and do some Journalism. I would also be informed of big time events going on in school such as the football games, basketball games, big performers that would perform at the college during some months, and things such as grants and scholarships that are available to students. This job gave lots of copywriting experience and writing experience that not only helped myself personally in my writing, but also taught me how to reach out to a large audience with my writing as well, and made me realize how stressful but fun being a journalist could be.
