An informed and knowledgeable Healthcare Professional with expertise in healthcare quality, infection prevention, risk management, accreditation, consultation and Public Health Epidemiology. Worked as Hospital Epidemiologist for several years and during this time I have developed implemented and monitored Hospital Infection Control Programs. I have also provided detailed advice and guidance on IPAC issues to a wide range of Healthcare professionals and Facility Engineering. Worked on a variety of projects in acute and long-term care facilities with special interest in critical care units and device-associated infections surveillance, antibiotic resistance, staff education and training. I have special interest in developing and implementing Hospital Antibiotic Management / Stewardship Program and combating Antibiotic resistance. In addition to that I have acted as Resource Person for Physicians on Antibiotic usage and Consultation. I have also successfully participated in many Joint Commission International Accreditation Surveys at various healthcare facilities accross Midle East. I am also an accomplished teaching professional at university level being able to deliver complex educational sessions to students at graduate level. This has been a rewarding but challenging career where I had been directly responsible for student performance and achievement of educational objectives. I have strong teaching and field experience, a resource professional combined with a thorough understanding of Infection Prevention, Healthcare Quality & Risk Management, and Public Health Epidemiology.Currently I am working as IPAC Officer in Administration and Chairperson IPAC Committee at Six Nations Health Services in Ontario in Canada responsible for the provision of an IPAC Program across Health Services. Lately I have been working with Public Health Ontario IPAC-Central West Team for CIC Study Group Prep Series Webinars for Novice IPAC Professionals at Cambridge ON.
