Assistant Manager Import
Current• Prepare plans and call-off materials from approved suppliers and other tools and spare, utilizing SAP MRP functionality, to meet the needs of the production plan. Highlight potential impacts to the production schedules due to material shorts / non-conformance, providing action-based solutions to maintain effective production plans.• Monitor and measure supplier performance including ‘Perfect Purchase Line Fulfillment’ deliveries from suppliers, to continuously improve material availability. Drive actions in accordance with Vendor Assurance and Procurement, where necessary to address non-conformance to targets• Execute orders to vendors, ensure timely production, and certify material readiness for dispatches.• Utilize Supply Managed Inventory tool (SAP B1) to enable inventories collaboration efforts with stake holders.• Coordinate the process and maintain accurate records of documentation needed to facilitate the seamless importing of raw materials, ensuring delivery on process audit targets.• Dealing with freight forwarders (Shipping Lines) for shipment booking at a market competitive rate and ensuring the arrival of goods within the required timeframe.• Liaison with the bank for letters of Credit, Bank Guarantee, Financial Instruments (PSW), and other supporting documents.• Ensure accurate movement of inventory to safeguard production loss.• Import material from other countries and comply with import documentation required.• Resolve discrepancies between ordered and delivered quantities and values and confirm payment approval with accounts payable.• Curtail material costs by introducing new vendors at the best rates.• Handle consignment costing to determine the landed cost of materials.• To guarantee liquidity, inform stakeholders of monthly import purchases and fund reports.
