Intrigued by the interplay of self-organization and selection forces, deterministic and stochastic factors, in the emergence of spatial-temporal order/patterns across scales that affect organismal fitness. I am interested in unraveling the fundamental mechanisms/design principles and harnessing those for therapeutics and personalized healthcare. Interested in the mechanistic basis of stochastic gene expression and propagation to organelle dynamics that govern the collective behaviors and temporal rhythms in cancer, aging, and infections, using modeling, quantitative experiments, and computational approaches.Experienced researcher in the field of computational biology and biophysics with a focus on quantitative analysis of varied types of experimental data (in-vitro to in-vivo, microscopy images to trajectories), mathematical modeling and model development, data-driven stochastic and agent-based simulation of biological processes. Experienced in pipeline/software development, optimization, and validation of experimental data, statistical, and scoring methodologies for quantitative analysis.During my PhD, I explored the mechanistic basis of cytoskeleton-driven sub-cellular processes and pattern formation using quantitative and computational approaches. Currently, I am exploring gene expression noise in aging and investigating the mechanistic insights on novel anti-viral therapeutics using data-driven modeling.
