Expanded and curated photo and information collections; developed flyers, brochures, signage, posters and other print/marketing materials; marketed the availability of web resources to target audiences; conducted teacher trainings; coordinated volunteer and scientist contributions; developed display materials; assisted in developing STEM-focused, hands-on learning experiences for school programs.Key Accomplishments:Through content expansion and marketing efforts, increased web usage from approximately 150 unique visitors per month to more than 850,000 annually; and increased time spent browsing the site from less than one minute to more than seventeen minutes.Authored over two hundred life history and ecological articles in support of the Indian River Lagoon Species Inventory project to benefit researchers, college students and resource managers.Authored the Field Guide to the Indian River Lagoon, an image-rich companion to the Species Inventory designed for the general public, which features three hundred common lagoon species.Developed the Marine Station’s first public outreach program and designed their first branding products and display materials (brochures, booklets, bookmarks, table displays, posters, etc.).Successfully developed grant applications that provided approximately $35,000 annually to support continuation of Species Inventory project.
