As a Graduate Assistant for Health Promotion Programming, I supported the mission of OHP by implementing programs and initiatives that focus on behavior change and harm reduction in several areas including sexual health, mental well-being, stress, and sleep. I started the Be-Well Mini-Grant program that provides micro grants for students to carry out health-related projects and campus programs. Additionally, I managed Emory's sexual health mini-course, Sexpert, that trains roughly 30 students per year on topics such as consent, communication, STIs, and preventing unintended pregnancy. I was responsible for moving Sexpert fully online so Emory students can access the same sexual health content wherever they are.

Oakland, California, United States

Kapor Capital, an Oakland-based venture capital firm, invests in early and seed-stage technology companies whose products close gaps of access and/or opportunity for low-income individuals. My work focused on sourcing and performing due diligence for digital health prospects.

The project is an NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Award (R21) that examines the possible connection between stress caused by perceived discrimination and poor kidney function among 100 African American patients. As a Graduate Research Assistant, my responsibilities include cleaning data in Excel, conducting literature reviews, managing references in Endnote, and other tasks that help complete the project.

Princeton, New Jersey

As Assistant Director of Residential Life, my main goal was to be a resource for all 100 Scholars, 10 Resident Mentors, and other staff. Additionally, I worked with the staff to promote a safe and respectful environment, build community, and provide a model of leadership and academic excellence for all Scholars. Additional projects including leading and coordinating Morning Meetings, in which the entire cohort of Scholars discuss LEDA's core values - excellence, integrity, community, and compassion. I also collaborated with other departments to create Self Care Sunday programming in the residence hall, which focused on topics such as boundary-setting and meditation and mindfulness.

Tupelo, Mississippi

As a Field Educator, I taught over 100 health education and life skills classes at high schools, rehab centers, and community organizations in North Mississippi. I was responsible for finding teaching opportunities by contacting schools and organizations and developing lesson plans for each class. Additionally, I led assemblies for entire grades or schools that countered bullying, self-harm, and unhealthy relationships. Along with other key stakeholders, I spearheaded a project to create a resource manual for school counselors to use to support homeless and at-risk students. I collaborated with colleagues to create sustainable interventions that counteract food insecurity in the state. Lastly, I conducted intake interviews to assess clients' needs and directed them to relevant community resources.

As Communications Executive, I was responsible for creating, scheduling, and verifying all social media content for our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts. I corresponded with colleagues at Libra Group's various subsidiaries to collect stories and information for social media content. Lastly, I was responsible for finding innovative solutions to improve our team's ability to be cost- and time-efficient.

As a Project Manager, I completed projects for the Cheif Innovation Officer and the Director of Social Responsibility. I led digital advocacy efforts for two social responsibility initiatives utilizing design methods, innovative technology, and social media tools. Within those projects, I created newsletters, crowdfunding campaigns, and social media content. I tracked progress on long-term projects using Asana project management software and Zoom check-in calls. Additionally, I mentored and helped executives manage interns during Winter 2017 and Summer 2018.

As a BSAR, I represented Barnard during student panels, open house weekends and community engagement events. I also led campus tours for large groups of prospective students, parents, and high school counselors. I cultivated relationships with incoming students to help them acclimate to college life at Barnard.

Princeton University, Nj

As a Resident Mentor for the Aspect of Leadership Summer Institute, I mentored ten Scholars and supported their transition to the program via floor meetings, one-on-ones, and fun group activities. I planned and executed a self-care and stress-management workshop and community-building exercises for 100 Scholars. I facilitated inclusive discussions amongst scholars with diverse social and cultural backgrounds and perspectives. Lastly, I communicated scholar suggestions and concerns to residential life leadership in a constructive manner and used mediation skills to solve Scholar disputes.

Greater New York City Area

As a Libra Intern placed at Seleni Institute, I constructed reports for the Executive Director on the evolving policies surrounding motherhood and childcare. I recruited 50 local physicians to attend a Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorder Screening Event at Brooklyn City Hall. I also researched federal and foundation 501(c)(3) grants for a presentation to the Libra Group board members and helped Seleni apply for its first grant.
