Here at ASU, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies as well as a minor in Social Behavioral Sciences.The past two years I have been working through the Lapan College and Career Club as an Intern with El Jardin, a garden program at Wakefield middle school. Here I've guided middle school students as we harvest, plant, clean, and steward the garden and greenhouse in South Tucson. I continue to offer services in mentorship, organization, and general guidance as an Undergraduate Peer Mentor, especially for First-Generation underclassmen based in my hometown. Mentorship is a fulfilling experience and I'm grateful to work alongside the Lapan team to assist where I can! Generally, I am open to pursuing research within both my major and minor fields. Within GWS, I have an interest in sociological qualitative research methods, especially regarding the visibility of the sexuality spectrum, BIPOC communities, and issues of reproductive health. If there are any remote opportunities to partake in research surrounding these topics over the summer, I'd be most inclined to participate!
