Kieley Sutton Email and Phone Number
I currently serve as an Assistant Public Defender and the Homeless Court attorney for the Richland County Public Defender's Office through the Gideon's Promise program. Through these positions, I work with clients each day to help support their legal and personal needs. I am passionate about helping the homeless population and improving their quality of life. As a way to support my clients and others in the community, I co-founded the Rainy Day Fund, a nonprofit organization, that seeks to combat the criminalization of poverty by providing funding for individuals' immediate needs that reduces the chance of legal system involvement. It is my ultimate dream to see homelessness and the criminalization of poverty eradicated. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, volunteering as a volleyball and basketball coach for a local high school, and volunteering at Transitions Homeless and Inclement Weather Shelter.
