Kieran has had 30 years experience in the Family Law jurisdiction and is a director of Naughton McCarthy Family Lawyers, which has achieved consistent recognition in Doyle’s Guide as a leading family practice in Queensland and nationally. Kieran himself has achieved state and national recognition for his expertise in complex matrimonial financial disputes. Having learnt the trade in regional Queensland, he has a particular interest in rural matters. Over the last decade Kieran has expanded his skills and interests to the not-for-profit sector, taking on governance roles within major organisations such as Mercy Partners, Kildare Ministries and Edmund Rice Education Australia, which between them have civil and canonical responsibility for Health, Aged Care, Community Services and Educational Institutions across Australia. He is the Mercy Partners representative on the national body, the Association of Ministerial Public Juridic Persons (AMPJP).Since 2009 Kieran has also led seven battlefield tours to the Somme, Flanders, Normandy and The Netherlands , privately and on behalf of France@Leisure. He is a regular on the speaking circuit, recently delivering presentations on "Catholic Chaplains of the AIF" , "William Glasgow and the 13th Brigade at Villers-Bretonneux", "The Great War Fallen of Ithaca Presbyterian Church" and "Mrs Crozier's Letter". Kieran also contributed to the Supreme Court of Queensland's publication, "In Freedom's Cause", to mark the centenary of The First World War.
