I am a sophomore at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering and am expected to graduate in May of 2027.I have gained valuable experience both socially and professionally from my two previous jobs in the food service industry. I learned skills such as communication, collaboration, problem solving, responsibility, and training others. I have also gained lots of leadership experience from my previous positions such as Section Leader and Drum Major in band and Captain of both my club and high school soccer teams. Cal Poly's learn by doing philosophy has also already allowed me to gain valuable skills within in the engineering field. Through my different lab classes and clubs, I have been able to gain experience with machinery such as Lathes and CNC mills, metal casting, basic circuitry, CAD programs and hand drafting engineering drawings.I am passionate about learning new skills and working with others to accomplish goals. I am never one to shy away from a challenge and am able to bring in new ideas diverse perspectives. I alway work towards the goals of myself, the team and the organization.
