I am a communicator with more than 20 years of experience in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. I work for MGM Resorts International, Nevada's largest employer, where I manage strategic internal communication for the company's properties throughout the United States. Prior, I provided internal communication support to reach the company's 70,000 employees on the Las Vegas Strip. Before joining MGM Resorts, I was a public/marketing information officer for the City of Henderson, where I spearheaded a highly successful hybrid social media/traditional media campaign to alleviate vandalism in city parks, developed an integrated marketing campaign that generated $47,000 in membership sales in 30 days, and improved media relations that had a positive impact on the city’s reputation. I served as a primary media contact and spokesperson and have taken part in hundreds of interviews on topics ranging from roadway construction projects to senior services.I have served in leadership roles for more than 20 nonprofit organizations, including serving as president of IABC/Las Vegas and as a committee member for the Arthritis Foundation.I have been fortunate to receive dozens of Addys, EMAs, Pinnacles, and Bronze Quills for writing, creative, and strategic direction.
