Returning to the Montpelier/Middlesex area after working in Burlington for 26 years I couldn't imagine transitioning to a desk job and needed a job that provided continual challenges, growth, and customer contact, along with the "never a dull moment" atmosphere I was accustomed to in the airline industry. I decided to seek out a job that allowed me to be flexible enough to focus on my family and allow me to continue to volunteer within the community. I found this opportunity by supporting our business with computer services and automation, book keeping, marketing, and helping to develop business opportunities. Becoming involved in the business community as a member of the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce, working to support business and economic growth within our community, and continuing to be involved and support youth programs, sports, and non -profits reminds me of why we choose to live in Vermont. Knowing the thousands of tons of metal we recycle every year is saving precious resources and helping keep Vermont's landscape green is extremely satisfying.Identifying opportunities for manufacturing and industrial companies to properly dispose of business bi-products, educating residential customers on the ease and benefits of metal recycling (both financially and environmentally), as well as developing a long term working relationship with many area businesses and customers is my job. Growing and developing a family business in Vermont has many challenges and there is certainly "never a dull moment".
