She worked on the day-to-day management in the building of a statewide advocacy plan for a leading charitable organization, lead a political and media tour throughout the U.S. for a top aeronautical company, assisted in the development of speech and interview best practices for a leading national company, and spent time oversees helping to setup a war room for an international airline carrier. She also was a member of the production team for 3 womens' conferences in the U.S. She brought to the role experience from both the political and nonprofit sectors. Earlier Experience:Cooper was the aide to the CEO and board liaison of the LIVESTRONG Foundation. Before that, she was aide to State Senator Kirk Watson, the former mayor of Austin, and his deputy finance director during the 2002 election cycle. Cooper brings knowledge and experience of state politics as she has worked for members of the Texas Legislature. She worked for Rep. Paul Sadler, former Chairman of House Public Education Committee and was legislative aide to Rep. Fred Bosse, former Chairman of Committee on Civil Practices and the Sunset Commission. Cooper was a registered lobbyist with a local lobby firm covering issues that spanned from economic development to air/water quality.
