- Responsibilities include: heat therapy, wax therapy, ice therapy, walking program, ROM programs, individualized exercise programs, therapeutic modalities ie: TENS, US, MS, etc., chest physiotherapy, massage, splinting, restorative feeding, transfer assessments.- Supervision and instruction/teaching of training to all staff on new equipment and basic body mechanics: bath equipment, lifts, slider sheets, slings, transfer belts, mobility equipment, ADL equipment.- Supervision of co-operative education programs OTA/PTA students as well as high school students.- Prescriptive seating – to ensure residents have proper seating and mobility equipment using government funded assisted devices program and the services of a registered occupational therapist. Act as a link between resident, families, vendors, physiotherapy services, community agencies. Initiates modifications, adaptive seating and custom seating.
