Coordinating a new diabetic retinopathy screening device into rural WV clinics so that blindness from eye disease can be stopped. Also managing the business aspect of the West Virginia Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

In brief, I provide a wide range of skilled secretarial duties and coordinates a variety of office procedures in support of various doctors and hospital administration.

I was responsible for daily operations in the Patient Access Department to ensure compliance with organizational service standards. I supervised the emergency department patient access functions to ensure accurate and timely registration of patient insurance, financial and demographic information. I also ensured compliance with all departmental policies.

I was responsible for the supervision of the Patient Access staff at the WVU Eye Institute and all processes that enable the accurate and seamless patient entry. I served as a recognized liaison and resource to our nursing units, Information Technology, physicians regarding registration and also during the integration of a new company wide computer system.
