WVU School of Dentistry

Driven by our mission and vision, the West Virginia University School of Dentistry fosters an exemplary learning environment that is supported by excellence in oral healthcare education, clinical experiences and research. As the only dental school in West Virginia, our education, service and patient care opportunities are improving access to competent, compassionate oral healthcare. We offer a Doctor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, advanced education programs in Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics and Prosthodontics, and residency programs in General Practice, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Pediatric Dentistry. The school is fully integrated with WVU Dental, a comprehensive oral healthcare system offering general and specialized dentistry care performed by faculty, resident and student providers. Working alongside expert faculty, students receive training and provide patient care across all specialties at WVU Dental prior to graduation.
