I joined Nestle as part of the Youth Training Scheme, straight from school when I was 16 years old, where I achieved my BTEC diploma in business studies through Croydon College. I was fortunate that I was offered a full time role in Personnel as an Administrator, within 5 months of being on this apprenticeship. I spent 18 years with Nestle which 17 1/2 years I worked within Personnel/HR and worked my way up the ladder experiencing most aspects of HR, which I enjoyed immensly as I found all roles very varied and no day was ever the same, I got to work with some amazing people who were responsible for my success today. When I left in July 2001 I was Relocation Executive; I assisted in the company's vision in outsourcing this part of the business to Rowan Simmons Relocation, now known as SIRVA.
