Tūmanako programme was a year long pilot. The challenge was to design and deliver a year long programme that would re-engage learning with a group of dis-engaged school students. Gamification was utilised to teach Literacy, Numeracy, Coding, Geography, Spacial Awareness, Problem Solving and Creativity. Students were unaware they were learning and thought they were just having fun. Trust developed over time and increased levels of difficulty were introduced.
