After 30 years of nursing experience in diverse locations including an outpost health center in Canada's arctic, volunteer community development in Guyana, and many years in academic tertiary care centers, I continue to learn and work toward transforming healthcare- it is now even more urgent. I wholeheartedly became a student of Lean in 2010 while serving as a leader in Pediatric hem/onc/bmt. I was one of the inaugural members of the Lean office at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland helping to accelerate the transformation in the first 5 years. I’m continuing on the journey with a creative, thoughtful, and growing team at PeaceHealth in the Pacific Northwest.
